One of my pipe dreams has always been to get to be involved in some kind of Center for the Empirical Study of Consciousness. Sure, NYU has the Center for Mind, Brain, and Consciousness, but there is room for a friendly rival with some post-docs of its own, isn’t there?

Well, I am not holding my breath for that to happen anytime soon, but we virtually have one here already, and this has got me to thinking that maybe I should expand on this a bit more in the future to some other kinds of online events.

• Consciousness Live! -Where the stream of consciousness goes over the edge
  • Long-form informal discussion with anyone interested in the empirical study of the mind
  • Now in its 8th season and coming up on the 100th episode!

The Conference:

• The Online Consciousness Conference
  • Five conferences from 2009-2013. Most past conference material is still available at the linked to site.
  • Now that we have zoom I am thinking of ways to bring a new and improved version of this back!

I would like the Qualia Fest to somehow be a part of this, but that was never really an online event…plus who even has time to play music these days?
