It’s hard to find the time to listen to these, but it’s sure worth it. I enjoyed this — attention is a fascinating topic. I’d never considered the difference before between my self-directed attention and having my attention grabbed by something external.
Very much enjoyed the discussion of the self. I suspect that our persistent self is encoded in the wiring and synapse potentials that evolve over time as we experience the world. (We’re like the Ship of Theseus! Our identity is etched in our brains.)
